Bus 555 also runs from: Lancaster (about 65 mins) and Keswick. Bus X6 also runs from Ulverston (45 mins). Bus 755 runs occasionally from Morecambe (50 mins).

There are direct trains to Kendal from: Manchester (about 95 mins), Preston (40 mins), Lancaster (20 mins), Windermere (15 mins) and Oxenholme (5 mins). There are connections from London, Glasgow, Carlisle and all cities in the North of England.
