How to get toInternational Bomber Command Centrecar-free

Visit International Bomber Command Centre car-free

Visit by bus for just £2 each way. Most buses in England are offering £2 Single Fares until 31st December 2024. Our journey planner will show you if your route is included, or you can find a full list of participating operators and routes here.

It’s one-mile walk or a few minutes bus ride and walk from Lincoln city centre to International Bomber Command Centre.

Bus 2 runs regularly from Lincoln Central Bus Station (bay A) to Canwick Road Cemetery, taking just 3 minutes. It’s then a 10-minute walk down Canwick Road to the Centre – look out for the Pedestrian entrance gate on the right.

A few buses also stop right outside the Centre – bus 31 or bus X31 (from Lincoln or Sleaford) and bus B5X (from Lincoln and Coningsby). Our journey planner will let you know the quickest route.

Trains run to Lincoln from Grimsby, Leicester, Peterborough, Doncaster, and further afield. The bus station is right next to the train station. If you travel by train, a Lincoln PlusBus ticket provides unlimited travel around the town.

The museum is a place to remember the lives of people who volunteered to help World War 2 pilots, as well as the victims of their bombing campaigns. The site includes a peace garden and interactive exhibition.
