There are regular trains from London, Chelmsford, Colchester and Ipswich. Take the train to Marks Tey and change onto the Sudbury branch line. Get off at Chappel & Wakes Colne where Museum is right by the station.

Train times and prices

If you’re travelling from Colchester, you may like to come by bus. The 88/88A bus runs hourly (Mon-Sat) from Osborne Street in Colchester (Stop Ac) to Wakes Colne, taking half an hour.
