There are regular trains from London, Chelmsford, Colchester and Ipswich. Take the train to Marks Tey and change onto the Sudbury branch line. Get off at Chappel & Wakes Colne where Museum is right by the station.

Train times and tickets

If you’re travelling from Colchester, you may like to come by bus. The 88 bus runs hourly (Mon-Sat) from Colchester Osborne Street to Wakes Colne, taking half an hour.

It's a 5-minute walk from the bus stop, up Station Road, to the Museum.
