Visit Diggerland Durham car-free

Visit by bus for just £2 each way. Most buses in England are offering £2 Single Fares until 31st December 2024. Our journey planner will show you if your route is included, or you can find a full list of participating operators and routes here.

Bus 52 and bus 53 run from Durham to Langley Park. Buses leave from Wharton Park a few times per day (none on Sundays). The journey takes about 25 minutes. Hope off at The Rams Head. It’s then about a 5-minute walk.

Bus 725 runs regularly (none on Sundays) from Chester Le Street, taking about 25 minutes.

If you are travelling from further afield, there are regular trains to Durham from London, Doncaster, Manchester, Leeds, York and Darlington, also from Edinburgh and Newcastle.
