By train and bus via Keighley
There are direct trains to Keighley from:
- – The Bentham Line + app: Bradford Forster Square (20 mins), Bingley (5 mins), Carnforth (75 mins), Crossflatts (5 mins), Frizinghall (20 mins), Hellifield (30 mins), Lancaster (90 mins), Leeds (25 mins), Saltaire (10 mins), Settle (40 mins), Shipley (15 mins), Skipton (10 mins).
- – Settle to Carlisle Line: Appleby (95 mins), Carlisle (2.5 hrs) and Kirkby Stephen (85 mins).

By heritage train
First, check the trains are running.
From Keighley train station: Trains leave from the same Keighley train station where standard trains arrive. Just cross to Platforms 3 and 4. The journey takes about 20 minutes. It’s then a 10-minute walk. Follow the boardwalk up-hill. Turn Right onto the cobbled Butt Lane. Once you’ve climbed your way to the Main Street, turn Right and keep climbing. Turn Left at the Kings Arms, following sign-posts along the narrow Church Street.
By scenic bus route from Keighley
From Keighley train station, it’s a 5-10 minute walk to Keighley bus station (Stand K). Cross the railway bridge and keep going along Bradford Road. Turn Right onto Cavendish Street.
Scenic Brontë Buses B1, B2 & B3 run frequently to Haworth (less on Sunday). The journey takes about 20 minutes.
10-minute walk through town: Hop off at either Central Park (bus 1 or bus 2 – bus shelter on return) nearby Sun Street End (bus 3). Walk along either Main Street, a pedestrianised, narrow hill. Turn Left at the Kings Arms, following sign-posts along the narrow Church Street.
3-minute walk: Hop off (bus 1 or 2) at Primary School. It’s then a 3- minute walk . There are bus shelters for the return journey. Cross the Medical Practice car-park and find the narrow staircase. At the top, turn Left, up-hill on Changegate. Cross Main Street. Following sign-posts along the narrow Church Street, beside the Kings Arms.
By train and bus via Hebden Bridge
There are direct trains to Hebden Bridge from:
- – Calder Valley Line: Halifax (10 mins) and Todmorden (5 mins).
- – Other: Blackburn (35 mins), Bradford Interchange (20 mins), Burnley (20 mins), Leeds (45 mins), Manchester Victoria (30 mins) and New Pudsey (30 mins).

Bus B3 stops nearby. Buses leave from Hebden Bridge train station (1) regularly (less on Sundays). The journey takes about 30 minutes.
Hop off at Sun Street End.
It’s then about a 10-minute walk. Start up along Main Street, a pedestrianised, narrow hill. Turn Left at the Kings Arms, following sign-posts along the narrow Church Street.
