It’s easy to reach Aberdeen Science Centre car-free, as buses stop outside.
There are frequent direct buses from Aberdeen city centre, starting out near the train, bus and ferry stations. Or you can take a 20-minute stroll.
There are direct trains to Aberdeen from Dundee (70 mins), Perth (105 mins), Edinburgh, Inverness and Glasgow.
There are also buses from Peterhead (75 mins), Fraserburgh (80 mins) and Braemar.

Getting to Aberdeen Science Centre car-free
Here's our recommended route to Aberdeen Science Centre. To get bus and train times and walking routes use our journey planner.
By bus
Bus 13 runs direct from Aberdeen city centre (near the train, bus and ferry stations) to Aberdeen Science Centre frequently. Buses leave from Guild Street (stop M1) by the Merchant Quarter sign. The journey takes about 10 minutes. Hop of at the Aberdeen Science Centre (grey building) on Constitution Street/ Links Road.
By train
There are direct trains to Aberdeen from: Stonehaven (20 mins), Inverurie (25 mins), Montrose (40 mins), Dundee (70 mins), Elgin (90 mins), Perth (105 mins), Nairne (115 mins), Stirling (2 hrs 5 mins), Edinburgh (2 hrs 10 mins), Inverness (2 hrs 15 mins), Glasgow (2 hrs 50 mins) and London via day or sleeper train.
Alternatively, there are direct buses to Union Square bus station, near the train station from: Edinburgh, Elgin, Glasgow, Inverness, Inverurie, Stonehaven and other local towns.
Either take a 20-minute stroll, or bus 13 which leaves from stop M1 near the train station and stops outside. Our journey planner will show your train or bus times and walking routes.
By bus from other towns
There are also buses from: Ellon, Fraserburgh, Methlick and Peterhead to the Urquhart Road bus stop, by the Trinity church on King Street.
