Visit Hastings Contemporary car-free

Trains run direct to Hastings from London Charing Cross and London Victoria. There are also frequent trains from Brighton, Lewes, Eastbourne, Bexhill and Ashford International. From Hastings station it’s a 20-minute walk, or a 5-minute bus ride, to the gallery. Use our journey planner to get train and bus times and walking routes.

Cyclists welcome. Hastings Contemporary is on National Route 2 and is one of three galleries linked by the delightful Coastal Culture Trail. Plan your route here.

There is a taxi rank at Hastings station, the 5-minute journey to gallery costs about £5.

Take a scenic rail journey from Eastbourne, Bexhill or Ashford International to Hastings on the Marshlink Line

You can add PlusBus to your rail ticket for bargain bus travel in the Hastings and Bexhill area.

A South Downs Discovery Ticket covers travel on any bus in Kent, Sussex, Surrey and East Hampshire.

Why not combine a visit to Hastings Contemporary with De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill or Towner Eastbourne. The three galleries are linked by the Coastal Cultural Trail cycle path, as well as bus 99 and the scenic Marshlink Line.
